The past week or so, sport-fishing has become a popular new passtime around the waters of Waikiti.

Starting around the Shopping Village, and spreading out through almost all of the public waterways, the areas have been set up to work with the 7 Seas Fishing system. You can pick up a compatible rod at one of the fishing vendors, then find yourself a comfy spot and get fishing.

Be forewarned though – it is slightly addicting! With well over 300 different kinds of fish and salvage to be caught, points and levels to achieve, and of course the relaxing enjoyment of just sitting by the water looking for fish, there’s already a half-dozen Waikiti regulars who’ve become “hooked” on fishing!

So grab your rod, a bucket of bait, and come join us!
