Officially opening for business in February 2007, Atashi's Art and Oddities Shop is an eclectic assortment of Atashi's creations.
The Art are RL paintings and occasional RL photography created by Atashi's RL typist. The Oddities were originally the macabre furniture and execution equipment that Atashi enjoys building when
either she or her typist are feeling a little bit down.
From these dissimilar origins, Atashi's Art and Oddities Shop has expanded to include vehicles, all manner of scripted gadgets, and even some traditional furniture, along with
housewares and bar-wares.
Atashi's products can be found inworld at the Waikiti Mall, or online at SL Exchange.

Fun, Easy-Handling Vehicles
As someone unable to successfully control super fast twitchy vehicles, Atashi saw a need for craft that were easy to control while still being enjoyable.
To this end, she has created a line of water- and air-craft that are a bit slower than most vehicles, but are simple and intuitive to control, with realistic behavior.
First came the "Runabout Motorboat" is a simple two-seat wooden boat with a small outboard engine. Second was the whimsical "Aero-Putter Flying Machine", a contraption
inspired by the likes of Jules Verne, combining hot air, open flame, wood, paper, and propellers. These were followed by a simple sailboat, and a "steampunk" interpretation
of the jetski (literally a pair of rockets and a wooden ski fastened to an old bicycle frame).
All vehicles are available in three formats: a personal / solo version; a free-rezzer version to provide free temporary rides to anyone; and a paid-rezzer version, to provide
short term rental-rides.

Gadgets and Gizmos, Useful and Useless
A wide assortment of scripted devices. The useful include teleporters, the popular Object Finder, and a picture slideshow / display panel.
The useless (but fun) include a weather station, fire extinguisher and fire hydrant, and the amusing Thing-In-A Box

Bringing the Oddities to SL
It all started with a simple gallows. Then an impaling spike. Then the guillotine. Gas chamber, electric chair, and burning stake followed quickly.
All these, and more, are now available at Atashi's Art and Oddities Shop. This is what you get when you mix a morbid sense of humour with a compulsion to create and an enjoyment of scripting.
Everything is set up on display in the basement level at Waikiti Mall, so guests and customers can try-before-you-buy.
In spite of the sound effects, visual effects, and interactive nature of these 'furnishings', none of them cause actual harm, they all are 100% safe.
