Overview
Colonial Waikiti currently consists of three discrete landmasses (regions) each of approximately 16 acres. The exact dimensions of each region is 256 meters by 256 meters (65536 square meters).
The original region Waikiti was first colonized on March 9th, 2007. It was followed a little more than six months later by Waiki Atoll, which was opened up for colonization on September 13th, 2007. Minaki was added to the map on January 8th, 2008 along with a number of other regions. At its peak, Colonial Waikiti was comprised of 9 regions / 145 acres. Six of these islands were lost however in the disaster Cyclone Jack.
The island of Waikiti is divided into nine residential rental lots, each of 64 meters by 64 meters (4096 square meters). These lots run along the western side of the island. The remaining territory is home to Waikiti Beach and Clubhouse in the south and the shopping area in the north.
The Waiki Atoll region is similarily divided, comprising eight residential rental lots of 64 meters by 64 meters (4096 square meters) each. The eight lots are situated on a medium-size island that is found in the eastern half of the region. A ninth lot stands on its own mini-island in the north-west area of the Atoll; this irregular-shaped lot is 8448 square meters in size. A third small island is found in the south-west part of the Atoll. This island, and the remaining waters (and reef area) are all classed as public land, available for the use of and enjoyment by Waikiti residents and guests.
The east side of Minaki is home to the Minaki Aerodrome — a small airport, hangars, and terminal building. The west side of Minaki is set up as two large 1/4-sim (16,384m) residential lots, each standing on its own small island, surrounded by open water.
